Due to budget and staffing cuts, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Communications Unit (SOCOMM) is currently staffed five days a week, eight hours a day.
Sheriff's Office dispatchers are highly trained, dedicated individuals. Each employee must successfully complete a rigorous 6-8 month on the job training program as well as attend a two-week Telecommunicator Academy at The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST). Our employees maintain their DPSST certification by completing annual training.
SOCOMM staff is committed to provide excellent service to all of our customers. While enhancing patrols ability to safely, efficiently and effectively respond to calls by gathering and relaying pertinent information, allocating resources, and providing investigative support, we serve our community. We provide the vital link between the citizens of Josephine County and law enforcement responders and we are “Proudly Serving Our Community."
